CHASSIS FABRICATED I-BEAM CONSTRUCTION

 
  • Main beams top and bottom flange 130x12 "30 OAK" BS.4360 grade 55c. Web plates in 6 and 5mm thick BS.4360 grade 1431/300WA material.
  • Rubbing plate - 8mm thick grade 300WA material. Top removable 50mm kingpin, suitably re-enforced with boxed channel members.
  • 40mmx12mm grade WA, fully weld web stiffeners where required.
  • Cross members are 100x50x3mm cold rolled channel sections welded to chassis main beams and spaced weld to deck sections.
  • Fit a 900x600x450 toolbox
  • A Cargo Walking Floor in model CF 500, corrugated aluminium floor, with three cylinder hydraulic, high-pressure system.
 
AXLES  
Propar Axle , 3 off per trailer, tubular 127mm (16mm wall thickness) hollow round beams in hi-tensile T16V material, heat-treated in three-piece configuration. Rated at 11 tons capacity. Foundation brakes are (Duron P2008 / FERODA 3658) 420x180 "S" cam operated on automatic slack adjusters with ABS braking system. Spring brake boosters are fitted to each axle. Brake linings are manufactured to S.A.B.S 1056 specifications. Wheel studs are 10 studs fitment on 335 PCD (pitch circle diameter). Bearings (21 roller) are interchangeable inner and outer 90mm diameter precision ground parallel journals and bearing face-hardened. Axle track length will be compatible with that of truck tractor at 1930mm. Brake drums are machined from S.A.B.S 250 gray iron material (BS1452-1990 GR300). Hubs are machined from S.A.B.S SG. 42 material.
 
   
SUSPENSION  
Mechanical suspension. Spring packs in heat-treated SAE 5160 material 90x10mm in 8-blade, configuration. Positive axle alignment is achieved by fixed and adjustable rubber bushed heavy-duty rubber bushed balance beams. Suspensions are manufactured according to TUV European Certification.
 
BODY  

3CR12 steel 3mm steel sided body is fitted . A roll over Tarpaulin is fitted with a catwalk to front of headboard. Hydraulic pipe outlets, brake pipe outlets straight our under headboard with electrical plug in center. Light boxes and tail box to be recessed back under rear of trailer. A moving headboard is fitted as standard equipment. The top rail above rear doors, will be removable or swing out to allow for pallet loading operation.

 
RIMS AND TYRES  

13 off 12R 22,5 tubeless tyres, mounted on 10 stud tubeless wheel rims in dual wheel fitment formation.

 
LANDING LEGS  

Jost heavy duty series, 2 speed, high strength steel construction, with heavy duty fixed sand shoe, near side operation. Rigid cross bracing supports designed to withstand load at any angle.

 
TOOLBOX  
No toolbox is fitted
 
SPARE WHEEL CARRIER  
No spare wheel carrier is fitted
 
AIR BRAKE SYSTEM  
Twin-line air brake system to S.A.B.S 1207 specification, is fitted (Service and emergency). The tridem configuration will be fitted with ABS braking system to ECE R13 specification, including automatic slack adjusters.
 
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM  

Standard 7 pin 12/24-volt electrical system with stop, tail and indicator "L.E.D" lamps . A number plate light is also supplied. Reflectors and reflective tape to chassis.

 
REAR CHEVRON AND TAILBOX
Standard is a mild steel tailboard with chevron board. To be recessed back under rear of trailer.
PAINTING  

The trailers chassis and wheels will be thoroughly cleaned and degreased and a base primer applied minimum two coats of 2K-enamel paint to your corporate colours. We are fully equipped with our own mixing machine, computer and all equipment to give you the perfect colour of your companies choice ( or a wider range of colours) with SOLCOMIX 603 – 2K acrylic topcoat(TPC-ACR). Giving an excellent weathering resistance, with a high surface hardness and good gloss. Now with our in house , colour-mixing laboratory, Payloader is able to satisfy your every paint requirement.
