CHASSIS
FABRICATED I-BEAM CONSTRUCTION
  1. Main beams top and bottom flange 130x12 “30 OAK” BS.4360 grade 55c. Web plates in 6mm and 5mm thick BS.4360 grade 1431/300WA material.
  2. Rubbing plate – 8mm thick grade 300WA material. Top removable 50mm kingpin, suitably re-enforced with boxed channel members

  3. 40mmx12mm grade WA, fully weld web stiffeners where required.

AXLES
Propar Axle Propar axles, 3 off tubular 127mm hollow round beams in hi-tensile T16V material, heat-treated and swaged in one-piece configuration. Rated at 11 tons capacity. Foundation brakes are 420x180mm “S” cam operated on automatic slack adjusters with ABS braking system. Type 24/30 spring brake boosters are fitted to each axle. Brake linings are manufactured to S.A.BS. 1056 specifications. Wheel studs are 10 studs fitment on 335 PCD (pitch circle diameter). Bearings are interchangeable inner and outer 90mm diameter precision ground parallel journals. Axle track length will be compatible with that of truck tractor at 1930mm. Brake drums are machined from S.A.B.S 250 gray iron material. Hubs are machined from S.A.B.S SG. 42 material.

SUSPENSION

Mechanical suspension. Heavy-duty spring packs in a 8-blade configuration. Positive axle alignment is achieved by fixed and adjustable rubber bushed heavy-duty torque arms. Equal weight distribution and load transfer is achieved through fabricated heavy-duty rubber bushed balance beams. Suspensions are manufactured according to TUV European Certification.

BINS

The bin are 17 cubic metres capacity, manufactured from 3mm and 5mm Domex type steel and has two central pivot supports. Four low-pressure hydraulic cylinders, one each end of body, are utilized to tip bin to one side only Rollover Tarpaulin with Tensioner straps is standard equipment.

RIMS AND TYRES
12R 22,5 tubeless tyres (13 off inclu. 1xspare) complete with 9.00x22.5 disc type rims, 11mm thick nave, 10 stud in dual fitment.

LANDING LEGS

Jost heavy-duty series, 2 speed, high strength steel construction, with heavy-duty fixed sand shoe, near side operation. Rigid cross bracing supports designed to withstand load at any angel.

AIR BRAKE SYSTEM

Twin-line air brake system to S.A.B.S 1207 specification, is fitted (Service and emergency). The Tridem configuration will be fitted with ABS braking system to ECE R13 specification, including automatic slack adjusters.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Standard 7 pin 12/24-volt electrical system with stop, tail and indicator “truck-light” lamps. A number plate light is also supplied. Reflectors and reflective tape to chassis.

REAR CHEVRON & TAILBOX
Standard is a mild steel tailboard with chevron board (heavy-duty plastic tailboards are optional if required).

PAINTING

The trailers will be thoroughly cleaned and degreased and a base primer applied. Minimum 2 coats 2K enamel paint to your corporate colours. We are fully equipped with our own mixing machine, computer and all equipment to give you the perfect colour of your companies choice ( or a wider range of colours) with SOLCOMIX 603 – 2K acrylic topcoat(TPC-ACR). Giving an excellent weathering resistance, with a high surface hardness and good gloss. Now with our in house , colour-mixing laboratory, Payloader is able to satisfy your every paint requirement. Payloader can offer a 1 year warranty certificate on each and every trailer on the paint system.
